Greetings!
The events in Egypt and the Middle East warrant the prayers of serious Christians around the world. Egypt, one of the few remaining allies of Israel in the Middle East is on the verge of a revolution that could be used by Iran, the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas, Hezbollah and other foes of Israel to foment another Islamic takeover hostile to Israel, Europe and the United States. If that occurs, the safety and security of Israel is at great risk. Further, the Suez Canal and the transport of oil to Europe and the U.S. could be in jeopardy. Along with oil shortages, and rising fuel prices, the radical Islamic world could tighten their control of the world economy and leave Israel in even greater danger. David Horowitz, one of the most informed commentators on the radical left's association with the Islamic movement says, "The Mubarak dictatorship is crumbling. The Muslim Brotherhood is warning that regimes will fall all over the Middle East and the radical left in America and internationally is cheering them on." Note the deceptions of America's left with regard to the Muslim Brotherhood.
When asked by His disciples, "What shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?" Jesus said, "Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that ye be not troubled; for all these things must happen but the end is not yet." (Matthew 24:3-6)
Down through history many have claimed to be 'saviors' and 'messiahs' of their people, nations, and by hyperbole, the world. There is only one Who Is, and world events have proven that. As the stage is being set for the end of the Age, it is not a time to fear, or be confused.
There is no more reliable and proven source for a correct reading of history, and the end times than the Bible, including the events we have been watching since the formation of Israel as a nation in 1948. What is happening now in the Middle East are precursors to the events of which Jesus and the Prophets of the Old Testament spoke concerning the end of the Age and the return of Christ.

| Eternal Father, all knowing, and not deceived, restore to Your children the knowledge of Your soon coming and the signs of the times in which we should be fully aware. Turn our hearts once again to Your Word that we might know the times and what we should do as the tribulation, Your coming, the judgement of the nations, and the millennial kingdom draws ever closer. Move our hearts for the lost and for their salvation. Open their eyes, and ours, to Your will in these days. In Christ's Name we ask, Amen. |
