Don't Ask, Don't Tell Vote on Saturday Morning

A political payoff with serious security implications

Greetings!

In my December 7th Alert, I said, "the President opted to bend a knee to the people and the Republicans to get  those projects passed before the newly elected conservatives dump them in the trash where they belong", referring to Don't Ask,Don't Tell, the Start Treaty with the Russians, The Dream Act, and others.  And so it has come to pass.

Tomorrow, December 18th, Senate President Harry Reid against the recommendations of our military leaders and without any hearings or discussion, will call for a vote on Don't Ask, Don't Tell, now a stand alone bill, the outcome of which, if approved, would allow homosexuals and lesbians in the military to openly engage in, flaunt, and potentially jeopardize by extortion, the reputations of those who reject their advances.  The top military leaders have indicated this is not the time to foist politically motivated social engineering payoffs to special interest groups at the risk of destabilizing our military forces and disabling our recruiting efforts. 

With the media in favor of repeal and dis-elected liberal Senators voting on this issue, a historic and potentially de-stabilizing and security threatening issue will most likely be decided by a few men and women who have already been rejected by the voters, demonstrating in spades the danger of electing far left people who blatantly disregard the people even in defeat. 

Please pray tonight and tomorrow that God, in His inscrutable ways, will intervene in the minds of the Senators to derail this blatantly wrongheaded and politically motivated vote.
