No Tax Increase. . . But More Spending
The President capitulates to the people . . . or does he?

Greetings!
While noted pundits and political commentators are suggesting President Obama's willingness to extend the Bush tax rollback another two years was a difficult and politically costly decision for him, Barack Obama proved once again last night that he is nothing more than a weak and self absorbed leader, a political manipulator who uses 'craft and deceit' with 'unscrupulous cunning' to serve his own vision of America rather than the best interests of the American people and the security of the nation. The ruse of the bended knee
Forced by the Republicans - and the clear will of the people in the November election - to deal with the financial issues before any other legislation would be considered, e.g. Don't Ask, Don't Tell (DADT), the Start missile treaty with the Russians - and many other misguided bills both Obama and the lame duck Democrat leadership are itching to pass before they leave office - the President opted to bend a knee to the people and the Republicans to get those projects passed before the newly elected conservatives dump them in the trash where they belong.
Under the usual guise of caring for 'the middle class', the poor, and the unemployed, he did what he should and could have done over a year ago to invigorate the economy: Push for extending the Bush tax cuts so business could plan, hire, and put people back to work. That announcement alone would have done more to stimulate business development, reduce unemployment, and increase revenue to the federal coffers than anything else he could have done.
Holding us hostage Instead, he held hostage both the business community, lenders, the unemployed, and all Americans, for the sake of his own agenda, an agenda that included an enormously costly and unwanted government controlled medical system that the people clearly did not want, and a huge increase in government hiring, spending, and bureaucracy. So now, fully a year and a half later, he makes a concession to those mean spirited and compassionless Republicans in order to get his radical agenda back on track in the Senate before it is too late, and to appease his left wing critics. But wait! There's more!
Redistribution, the Obama way Under the guise of 'caring' for all those who are still without jobs due to his preference for serving his special interest friends and their mutual agenda, he added 55 billion dollars to the deficit by extending unemployment benefits for 13 months with no plan to cut spending elsewhere to pay for it. Instead of seeing long lines at the unemployment offices around the country on the nightly news for the last 18 months, we could have witnessed just the opposite; people lining up to apply for new jobs at the nation's businesses. Clearly this man sees the federal government as the solution to all our problems, in total contradistinction to the vision of our Founders and the vast majority of Americans.
The New Machiavelli Like his long delay in meeting General McCrystal's request for more troops for Afghanistan, his determined drive to saddle the taxpayers with an unaffordable healthcare bill, his determination to use civilian courts to try Guantanamo detainees, his refusal to deal effectively with our porous borders, his lies during his campaign about transparency, bi-partisanship, and ethics in government; his heartless dismissal of over 150,000 oil industry jobs in Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, and both coasts, this President proves daily that he does not represent the people of America. He represents himself and his co-belligerent radicals in a determined effort to install government is God, top down rule over all Americans, even if it bankrupts the nation. Barack Obama is the new 'Machiavelli' who 'countenance(s) the use of craft and deceit in order to maintain the authority and effect the purposes of the ruler.'

Pearl Harbor Day
Today is a day that should be remembered as a 'day of infamy' in the hearts of the American people. It is the day that Japan attacked the United States by seeking to destroy our Pacific Fleet at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. It was, as was September 11th, 2001, a shameful and evil act, that all Americans would do well to remember, and upon which they should reflect soberly and thoughtfully.
As Christians, we know that God can take what is done with evil intentions and use those acts to demonstrate His reign, His rule upon the earth, and His glory.
As the people of America 'locked arms' and set their hearts and minds on confronting the enemies of the nation, we developed the greatest defense of freedom in the world, the greatest economy, and became the hope of freedom wherever there was oppression.
Today is no different. Now that our very way of life is being challenged from both within and without, it is again up to us to 'lock arms' against all enemies, foreign and domestic.
May we do so with renewed commitment, faith in God, and in one another, to God be the Glory. |

To our Visitors and New Friends
Restore America has been calling Christians to awaken to their citizenship duty and voting responsibility for eleven years. Given the increasing threat to the well being of the nation from within, and without, by the ungodly and the salt and light ambassadors we are called to be by our Saviour, our message grows more important each day. Please remember us in your end-of-year giving.
