Greetings!

After President Barack Obama's press conference yesterday, in which the press and most Americans were wondering if he would demonstrate a grasp of the significance and meaning of the previous day's election, it was clear he had not. Britt Hume Senior political analyst for Fox News said, "He hasn't grasped it yet."

Instead, the President said it was an "illusion" that he had "fostered ever bigger and more meddlesome government" as if the voters just didn't understand what he was trying to do.  He was clearly 'right in his own sight' and we-the-voters just didn't get it. 

Illusion or Delusion?

Illusion is one thing.  Delusion is close akin but far more serious.

The presence of either in the White House and Senate, bodes ill for all Americans and the stability of the free world.  Being out of touch with reality is a harbinger of difficult times ahead for putting our fiscal house in order, building confidence amongst the American business community, our allies globally, and the American people. But deluding ourselves - President, press, and the American people included - is a sure prescription for economic, cultural, and moral disaster that Americans can hardly comprehend. 

This President should be under no 'illusion' about the fact that in two years the American people have gone from wildly hopeful to deeply disillusioned about him, his agenda, his grasp of reality, economics, and the role of civil government in America, as clearly and unequivocally expressed in Tuesday's election.  However, it is his 'fixed, dominating' and 'persistent false mental conception' that is 'resistant to reason' that should alarm us all! 

We must not delude ourselves under the illusion that with 63 new republicans in the House of Representatives, a batch of new republican governors and senators, that Washington will make the decisions that are necessary to save the nation from bankruptcy and third world status, any more than Barack Obama can delude himself in believing that his social engineering, redistribution of wealth agenda will be good for America. Neither will work. . . left unto themselves. 

Vigilance is the price of freedom, and it will be up to the citizens of America to ensure our freedoms are preserved, before, during, and after elections.
