Obama And His "Wise Men"
The danger of dependence on the wisdom of this world
July 18, 2010 |
| Greetings!
There is an old nursery rhyme that reads, "Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall. Humpty Dumbty had a great fall. All the king's horses and all the king's men, couldn't put Humpty together again."
With the continuing appointment of far left ideologues, increasing awareness of his agenda, as well as dropping poll numbers, the "hope and change" that Barack Obama promised is no longer believed by a growing majority to be anything but a cloaked series of illusory deceptions in order to get elected.
Why the deception? Obama knew, as did his advisors, campaign managers, and friends in the liberal media, that if he were candid about his background and intentions, he would never be elected.
The hand writing is on the wall for this President. All the kings horses and all the king's men, will not put the Obama Administration back together again. His campaign lies about 'transparency' and 'bi-partisanship'; his Sol Alinsky style of manipulating the system and using the media for his own ends; his disdain for America's Judeo Christian Heritage and Israel; his use of our military to pay off a political debt and satisfy special interest groups; and his foolish deprecation of America before our worst enemies, has garnered the disillusionment and disgust of the nation, our allies, and worse, those in service to the country.
Noah Webster, advisor to the Founders, lexicographer and "school master to the nation" said,
"When you become entitled to exercise the right of voting for public officers, let it be impressed on your mind that God commands you to choose for rulers, just men who will rule in the fear of God. The preservation of government depends on the faithful discharge of this duty; if the citizens neglect their duty and place unprincipled men in office, the government will soon be corrupted; laws will be made, not for the public good so much as for selfish or local purposes; corrupt or incompetent men will be appointed to execute the laws; the public revenues will be squandered on unworthy men; and the rights of the citizens will be violated or disregarded."
Webster, writing nearly 200 years ago was more than correct. He was prophetic.
The majority of Americans - including many who voted for Barack Obama - feel violated by a suitor who turns out to be something far different than he let on. The trust necessary between a President and the people is lost and will not be regained. As Daniel boldly explained to a shaken Belshazzar, the handwriting on the wall revealed that his disrespect for the God of the Israelites, his prideful arrogance and dependence on the wise men, astrologers, and soothsayers of this world, and his lack of humility, would end his reign. His days were numbered and his administration was over. |

Those who are chosen to a place in government, must be men truly fearing God, wise and learned in the truths of Christ...Neither will any Christian of a sound judgment vote for any, but those who earnestly contend for the faith.
Edward Johnson, Puritan contemporary of Mass. Governor John Winthrop |

God of heaven and earth, revealer of mysteries and the thoughts and intents of the hearts of men, open our eyes to the wisdom of Your Word, that we may discern the hearts and words of those who seek positions of power for reasons of their own and not Yours. May we be wiser this election and not be deceived by deceivers who wish only the plaudits and approval of men while ignoring Your eternal truths. We pray for our leaders, that they will turn to You, repent of their dependence upon the Gods of this world, and seek Your face! We pray for those called by You to serve the people. Protect and preserve their hearts and minds from the temptations all around them to be turned from their love for You. Protect their families and keep them all in Your hand as Your obedient servants. And prepare our hearts to serve as we pray for our nation. In the Name of Jesus of Nazareth, Your only begotten Son, the only Name under heaven by which we must be saved. Amen. |

Restore America has been calling Christians to awaken to their citizenship duty and voting responsibility for eleven years. Given the increasing threat to the nation by the ungodly and the salt and light ambassadors we are called to be by our Saviour, our message is more important than ever. Please help us continue that effort.
If you have not made a contribution this year your contribution doubles in value with our Matching Grant.
Thank you for your continued financial support. It is greatly needed.

What we CAN do, and What we SHOULD do
Over the last several decades millions of bible believing and born again Christians, out of apathy, ignorance, or indifference, chose not to vote in election after election. That fact alone has contributed greatly to the moral, spiritual, and political disintegration of America. That can be changed, as well as the direction of the nation - in this coming election - if our Pastors and Christian leaders across America call the people of God to their citizenship responsibility. Please urge them to do so. Don't wait. Do it now.

"If the people fail to vote, a government will be developed which is not their government... The whole system of American Government rests on the ballot box. Unless citizens perform their duties there, such a system of government is doomed to failure."
Calvin Coolidge, Thirtieth President of the United States |
