In a recent article by Thomas Sowell, one of America's most profound and respected commentators on our times, Sowell asserted that,

 

From destroying the morale and moral strength of our military, to our healthcare system, private business, energy policy, and economy, the policies of the Obama Administration leave no doubt they seek total government control of our lives and institutions from cradle to grave. One commentator says Obama is "purposely overwhelming the U.S. economy to create systemic failure, economic crisis and social chaos -- thereby destroying capitalism and our country from within."  While that may or may not be the case, this administration's actions clearly indicate not just a makeover, but a takeover, the Constitution be damned. And the people?  Well, they are just sheep, and need to be ignored!  Father Obama and his radical friends know best!

 

 

While many refuse to believe it possible, it is being worked out before our very eyes on a daily basis. The people were overwhelmingly opposed to his healthcare plan.  We were ignored.  The people are opposed to continued government spending in the face of enormous debt.  We are being ignored. The people want energy independence. The Obama Administration refuses the obvious choices, giving us Cap and Trade instead. The people do not want homosexual behavior sanctioned in the military.  The Obama Adminstration however, is determined to support a political agenda at the expense of the military and our national security, to impose their social agenda and pay off a political debt. The people support Arizonan's right to defend themselves against drug runners, criminals and illegal immigration.  The Obama administration however, ignores us, and Arizonans, promises to take the issue to court, and uses it's power to boycott Arizona by federal agencies.

 

 

Denial is not a solution in light of the facts. We, the people, under the Constitution, are the government, and we govern by electing those who will represent us, not a party, not a small but vocal and well organized group, nor ideologues determined to force their will upon the rest of us.  The November 2nd General Election, and the Primaries leading up to that Election are the most effective way to reclaim our control of an out-of-control, bloated, ideologically arrogant, state and federal government establishment run by those who have only disdain for the Constitution and the people.  Only an informed citizenry can restore America at the ballot box come November 2nd!
