What's The Rush on "Don't Ask, Don't Tell"?
Political payoff vs. the moral and military strength of the nation

With virtually no national debate, or approval, and with President Obama's encouragement, the democrat controlled Congress is about to pass a bill that will do more to protect and encourage homosexual behavior than Americans could ever imagine.
As reported by FRC's The Watchman, "The "Military Readiness Enhancement Act of 2010" (S. 3065, H.R. 1283), if passed, will not only repeal the current practice of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell," but also the current law that forbids homosexual conduct and replace it with "a policy of nondiscrimination based on sexual orientation" so that men and women may openly engage in homosexual (and bisexual) behavior in the Armed Forces. To add further insult, this legislation is being attached to the Defense Authorization Bill, which funds the military." |
| What we must do
The only way this radical blow to our military morale and readiness can be stopped is by the American people calling their Senators and Congressman to strongly object to their support of such a bill, particularly if they are democrats. Please go to the left column of the Restore America homepage and scroll down to find the phone and fax numbers of your elected federal officials, both local and in Washington D.C..

The vote may well happen tomorrow, in both houses of Congress. As concerned as democrats should be about their re-election, and many are, calls to their offices on a particular bill/issue are more persuasive than you might think.
More than any other bill in recent history, passage of this bill will have a devastating effect on the moral foundations of America, let alone the effect on our military. Please join The Family Research Council (FRC), American Family Association (AFA), Focus Action, and Restore America in our efforts to flood the phone lines of our Senators and Representatives in opposition to this misguided and destructive bill.

What we CAN do, and What we SHOULD do
 Over the last several decades millions of Christians, out of apathy, ignorance, or indifference chose not to vote in election after election. That fact alone has contributed greatly to the moral, spiritual, and political disintegration of America. That can be changed, as well as the direction of the nation - in this coming election - if our pastors and Christian leaders across America call the people of God to their citizenship responsibility. Please urge them to do so. Don't wait. Do it now.
