Like recently retired liberal justice David Souter before he was confirmed to the Court, Elena Kagan has no traceable record on Federal Law with only one exception. The Supreme Court disagreed unanimously with her in a friend of the court brief she signed in support of preventing military recruiters on college campus.

 

What she does possess is a long association with Barack Obama that includes his days at Harvard Law, Chicago Law School in the 1990's, and one year as his Solicitor General.  It is the close association with the most liberal President in our history over many years and the obvious ideological agreement they share that should be of concern to all Americans.  Add that to her lack of judicial experience, and touted experience as a 'consensus builder' and you have a political appointment whose role on the court is not to ensure decisions based on the Constitution, but instead, a justice who will ensure Obama's view of what is best for America is not only well represented, but meant to prevail over the Constitution.

 

This is the 'MO' of all of Obama's appointees and 'czars' and should come as no surprise.

There is an agenda in play which places an ideology above the Constitution, and Elena Kagan is no exception.

 

According to Manny Mirandez, a respected observer of the Court in Washington, D.C., "In Elena Kagan, President Obama has nominated someone who merely shares his personal ideology but has no judicial record to show the honed skill of judiciousness, i.e. the ability to put aside personal views to render justice."

 

God help us, and God help the Republicans in the U.S. Senate find a backbone to make this evident to all Americans.
