The Inevitable Fall of America

Wisdom, Madness, and Folly

October 3, 2008

"For man does not know his time.  Like fish which are taken in an evil net, and like birds which are caught in a snare, so the sons of men are snared at an evil time, when it suddenly falls upon them."

  Ecclesiastes 9:12
Greetings!

The cost of dependence on social welfare engineered policies and programs commenced in the Roosevelt (FDR) years, and developed since by elected Federal officials for personal and political gain, has now been laid at the feet of every household in America. It is indeed an 'evil' time and the 'sons of men' have been 'snared' in 'an evil net', like 'birds. . . caught in a snare.'
The Rejection of Wisdom

"So I turned to consider wisdom and madness and folly. . . I saw that wisdom excels folly as light exceeds darkness."

Ecclesiastes 2:12-13 (RSV)

Our secular leaders have rejected God and His eternal rules of moral and social order, as well as principles of good government. They have rejected the wisdom of the Founders and the Constitution they gave us.  And now they have rejected the wisdom of sound fiscal policy by making hard working, tax paying Americans - and their children - responsible for greed driven banking institutions, self aggrandizing politicians, and Wall Street money moguls.  Darkness now 'excels' light, and wisdom is exchanged for 'folly.'
The Embracing of 'Madness'

"What is done under the sun was grievous to me;
for all is vanity and a striving after wind."

Ecclesiastes 2:17

  • We murder the innocents for convenience, money, and to suit ourselves
  • We redefined morality to accomodate our desires
  • We condone sodomy to avoid the hard work of opposing bad social policy
  • We redefined marriage by tolerating activist judges and legislators
  • We redefined the family by refusing to reject the alternative
  • We redefined the "Public Good" on secular rather than eternal values
  • We redefined the role of government - making it our 'Daddy'
  • We made government god by calling on it to solve all our problems
  • We embraced and ignored greed and corruption in public policy
  • We rejected personal responsibility and accountability
  • We refused to live within our means
  • We accepted corruption without demanding correction
  • We undermined free enterprise by embracing socialism - And as a result of the embracing of all these madnesses, and the resultant displeasures of each. . .
  • We embrace a 'Political Messiah' who promises to be our salvation
The Folly of Both

King Solomon, the wisest man of his day, said. . .

"He who loves money will not be satisfied with money; nor he who loves wealth, with gain: this also is vanity."  Ecclesiastes 5:10

"There is a grievous evil which I have seen under the sun: riches were kept by their owner to his hurt, and those riches were lost in a bad venture; and he is father of a son, but he has nothing in his hand."  Ecclesiastes 5:13

"This also is a grievous evil: just as he came, so shall he go; and what gain has he that he toiled for the winds, and spent all his days in darkness and grief, in much vexation and sickness and resentment."  Ecclesiastes 5:16-17

Unwise decisions favoring the greedy and politically powerful, unjustly punishing the people they are called to serve, not only vexes the spirit, it disincentivizes, discourages, and creates resentment. It is folly to the well being of a nation and to the preservation of freedom.
The Only Remedy

"There was a little city with few men in it; and a great king came against it and besieged it, building great siegeworks against it.  But there was found in it a poor wise man, and he by his wisdom delivered the city.  Yet no one remembered that poor man.  But I say that wisdom is better than might, though the poor man's wisdom is despised, and his words are not heeded."  Ecclesiastes 9:14-16

The 'poor man' is each voting citizen in America.  It is we the people that powerful 'kings' in the media and political establishment fear most, refuse to respect, continually manipulate, and deceive.

Turning away from the evils of corrupt elected officials and greed driven financial leaders starts with our VOTES!

Restoration through personal citizenship accountability beginning with our God given and blood bought responsibility to VOTE, and to VOTE for those who respect the Laws of God is the only way to prevent the inevitable.

May the 20 million Voter Elligible Christians - who do not VOTE - embrace their citizenship responsibility to protect and preserve America and their God granted rights.

"For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven. . . a time to keep (wise and good public servants) and a time to cast away (self serving and unwise politicians) . . a time to keep silence and a time to speak (through our VOTES) . . ."

Ecclesiastes 3:6-7
