Telling The Truth: Democrats Refuse, Deceive, Blame Republicans!
Complicit Liberal Media Refuses to Expose The Truth to Protect Obama and Democrats Running For Office September 29, 2008 |

John 8:32 (KJV) |
| Greetings!
Today is a watershed day for America.
On September 21st, and again on September 24th, I wrote of the "bankruptcy of civil government overrun by unconstrained politicians whose self interest, worldly ambition, and godless values, are more important to them than serving the people under the rules of heaven."
The truth of those assertions over the last several days and on the floor of the House of Representatives today, was never more evident than in the deceptive statements of democrats Nancy Pelosi, Rahm Imanuel and Barney Frank who continued to blame Republicans and the Bush Administration for the current economic debacle in total denial and deflection of the fact that it was Democrats in the House and Senate - not Republicans - who refused over the last 15 years, to work with Republicans who sought a solution to the causes of the current financial threat to all Americans. |
| Democrats Blocked Reform of Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac
In an Investor's Daily editorial on September 26th titled, "Saddest Thing About This Mess: Congress Had Chance To Stop It", the following comments were made. . .
"As early as 1992, alarm bells were going off on the threat Fannie and Freddie posed to our financial system and our economy. Intervention at any point could have staved off today's crisis. But Democrats in Congress stood in the way."
"As the president recently said, Democrats have been "resisting any efforts by Republicans in the Congress or by me . . . to put some standards and tighten up a little on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac."
No, it wasn't President Bush who said that; it was President Clinton, Democrat, speaking just last week."
"Even after regulators in 2003 uncovered a scheme by Fannie and Freddie executives to overstate earnings by $10.6 billion to boost bonuses, Democrats killed reform."
"Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are not facing any kind of financial crisis," said Rep. Frank, then-ranking Democrat on the Financial Services Committee.
