California's Activist Supreme Court Arrogates Power Once Again
Court Rejects State AG's Request for Stay of SSM Decision
June 4, 2008 |
| Greetings!
By a 4-3 decision with the same 3 Justices dissenting, the California Supreme Court today, denied a request by ten State Attorneys General to put its ruling allowing same-sex marriages on hold until after the November election, and the vote of the people.
Arrogantly disdaining the legal chaos that is expected as homosexual couples from around the country converge on California to 'marry' and then return to their home states to claim benefits, the Court demonstrated to all that they could care less about the legal trouble and cost to the taxpayers their unwillingness to wait 5 months will bring. What is most important of course, is not the will of the people, but the will of a relatively small group of gay and lesbian voices demanding special privileges and 'rights.' By all means, including if necessary, judicial fiat, let the 'weddings' begin!
