California's Activist Supreme Court Arrogates Power Once Again

Court Rejects State AG's Request for Stay of SSM Decision

June 4, 2008
Greetings!

By a 4-3 decision with the same 3 Justices dissenting, the California Supreme Court today, denied a request by ten State Attorneys General to put its ruling allowing same-sex marriages on hold until after the November election, and the vote of the people.

Arrogantly disdaining the legal chaos that is expected as homosexual couples from around the country converge on California to 'marry' and then return to their home states to claim benefits, the Court demonstrated to all that they could care less about the legal trouble and cost to the taxpayers their unwillingness to wait 5 months will bring. What is most important of course, is not the will of the people, but the will of a relatively small group of gay and lesbian voices demanding special privileges and 'rights.' By all means, including if necessary, judicial fiat, let the 'weddings' begin!
A Racy Bunch!

While Oregon's Supreme Court takes five weeks to decide if they will allow an Initiative Ballot petition opposing one of the worst sexual orientation bills in the nation's history - and thereby quash any possibility of obtaining the required signatures - it took only five days for the California gang of 4 to ensure homosexual activists got what they wanted.

You would think that after the Oregon Attorney General had reviewed the submitted wording, considered opposition arguments, and certified a ballot title, the Oregon Supremes just might be able to weigh the wording and render a decision in a reasonable time, but . . . "No".

While the nation watches in dismay as 4 justices in California render the will of the people null and void, the people of Oregon are kept in the dark about how their voices, votes, and signatures are also trampled underfoot by Oregon justices, and elected officials with a social agenda.  How could they know?  No one in Oregon's secular media cares to consider the facts let alone report them.  Why?  They agree with the 4 justices in California, not the 3 dissenters. . . and the majority of Oregonians.
"Republics are created by the virtue, public spirit, and intelligence of the citizens.  They fall when the wise are banished from the public councils, because they dare to be honest, and the profligate are rewarded, because they flatter the people, in order to betray them."

Justice Joseph Story, U.S. Supreme Ct. 1811-1845
