| A Hunger for Moral Purpose
In an age when those who deny the existence of God, and His 'eternal rules of order and right' cynically use the air waves, the Internet, entertainment, and the print media to denigrate Christ, Christians, and our involvement in the public square, the comments of both the President and the Pope were more than refreshing and long overdue. |
| Called to Confront
Those in 'authority' who are elevated to positions of governance are 'sent by him (God) for the punishment of evildoers and the praise of those who do right.'
Our elected officials are called - by God - to exercise their authority, not to restrict, ignore or punish those who do what is 'right,' but those who practice and advocate that which God has revealed as ungodly and destructive.
President Bush rightly described those in America who advocate what is wrong, as participants in the "dictatorship of relativism."
That is precisely what the Governor of Oregon, the legislature, and state officials engage in by granting rights where no rights exist, including the legalization of same sex marriage in defiance of the will of the people.
Their defiance needs to be confronted and they themselves removed from office. |

Confronting the dictatorship of relativism
In Oregon, and other states with leadership determined to ignore both the people and God's 'eternal rules', Christians must be prepared to ACT on behalf of God ordained marriage and moral order. As the Apostle Peter said, "Gird your minds for action."
Determine to do your part to ensure Oregonians are given the opportunity to VOTE on the legislature's concoction of marriage by another name and unwarranted rights and privileges to homosexuals in defiance of the voice and will of the people.
For such is the will of God that by doing right you may silence the ignorance of foolish men." I Peter 2:13-15
