The politically correct anti Christian culture police are out in force again this season, doing their best to quash the memory of who entered the world as a child, and why He came. To them there is no such thing as sin or salvation, creation or judgment, right or wrong, or any purpose for life other than indulging and satisfying the flesh and all its carnal desires. Christmas is anathema to them, a reminder of what they reject and do not wish to hear.

Angels, Christmas symbols, decorations, nativity scenes, Christmas songs, crèches, and even the word ‘Christmas’ itself are therefore-like crosses, public prayer, and the Ten Commandments-all ‘fair game’ for the bah, humbug unbelieving crowd, America’s KGB.

Staver says that, “In an effort to resist Christians, Communist leaders secularized a favorite Ukrainian Christmas carol, "Nova Radist Stala" (Joyous News Has Come to Us). The original song began with these words: "The joyous news has come which never was before. Over a cave above a manger a bright star has lit the world, where Jesus was born from a virgin maiden..." At first the Communists feared an outright ban on Christmas, so they began to secularize the holiday. The first rewrite of the song began as follows: "The joyous news has come which never was before, a red star with five tails has brightly lit the world." The second rewrite went further: "The joyous news has come which never was before. Long- awaited star of freedom lit the skies in October [the month of the Revolution]. Where formerly lived the kings and had the roots their nobles, there today with simple folks, Lenin's glory hovers."”

Lenin no longer lives, and neither does the Soviet Union, but those facts seem to have been lost on America’s politically correct KGB crowd. In contrast, Jesus lives on in the hearts of all who have come to know Him and the truth he spoke.

Staver reveals that, “In Communist Romania, Rev. Geza Palffy, a Roman Catholic priest, delivered a sermon in 1983 protesting against the fact that December 25th had been declared a work day instead of a holiday. The next day he was arrested by secret police, beaten, imprisoned and died.”

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder; and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6-7
