Respecting Their Sacrifice

Beloved of God, Since the advent of the doctrine of the Separation of Church and State, only about 50% of all voter eligible, evangelical Christians actually VOTE! As a result, those who disdain the things of God are elected, and the ordinances of God ignored, if not overruled outright by darkened minds. The Price They Paid
Of the 56 Founders who signed the Declaration of
Independence, nine died of wounds
or hardships during the war. Five were captured and
imprisoned, in each case with brutal treatment.
Several lost wives, sons or entire families. Before
the signer from New York returned from Philadelphia,
the British took his wife and 13 children. He never
saw them again. Twelve signers had their homes
completely burned. Seventeen lost everything they
owned. All were at one time or another the victims of
manhunts and driven from their homes.
Every one of them knew that at the moment they signed the Declaration, the British would place a price on their heads and they would be considered traitors to the King of England and to Parliament. Yet not one defected or went back on his pledged word.
The Price We Must Pay
“With a firm reliance on the protection of Divine
Providence”, the signers of the Declaration of
Independence “mutually” pledged “to each other”
their “lives,” their “fortunes,” and their “sacred
honor” to establish a nation “Under God”.
Before God, and in 'sacred honor', may we pledge to our families and friends, and all who have given life and limb to ensure our liberties, to do all in our power to preserve and protect those God granted freedoms so sacrificially won. Dwight D. Eisenhower, Commander of all Allied Forces in World War II, and later 34th President of the United States, said, "The future of this republic is in the hands of the American voter." And indeed it is. Please VOTE, on November 7th.
