AIANYS Every Building Has an Architect Postcard Media Campaignevery

For the second year in a row, AIANYS has continued the every building has an architect media campaign. The Public Advocacy committee put together the postcard with the help of a graphic designer. The postcard featured a photo of the 2010 AIANYS Design Award winner The Diana Center at Barnard College in New York, NY, Weiss/Manfredi, New York, NY. This postcard was mailed out to over 300 media outlets throughout New York State to help spread the word that architects should be credited for their work every time a building is featured in the media.

For the first time, chapters were able to have their own postcards designed with photos of work by chapter members. A lottery was held and the four chapters picked were: AIA Brooklyn, AIA Buffalo/Western NY, AIA Central NY and AIA Staten Island. The postcards were sent directly to the chapters for them to distribute themselves.
