About this Issue
We are fast approaching the completion of another cycle of major Jewish holidays. In the meantime, take a deep breath (ahhhhh...) and maybe even a few moments to learn about Sukkot, Shemini Atzeret and Simchat Torah.
Many thanks to Beth El congregant Rabbi Steve Chatinover, author of our lead article this month. If you've been looking to get rid of some of the clutter in your life, you'll find his advice edifying.
Beth Elearning is also pleased to feature an interview with our very own Rabbi Ilana Garber which was published nationally on the popular Jewish parenting website, Kveller.com.
We hope you'll enjoy this potpourri of educational and interesting materials.

What Do We Really Need?
|
By RABBI STEVE CHATINOVER
We love having stuff, and, at times, we can't imagine not having all of our stuff. This approach to life is epitomized in a bumper sticker I once saw: "He who dies with the most toys, wins". Really?! Is life nothing more than a game of 'keeping up with the Schwartzes' (my apologies to anyone named Schwartz)?
