White Horse Award recipient

Each year, the RTCA presents the White Horse Award as a way to honor someone in the racing industry who performed a heroic act on behalf of human or horse. This year's recipient is Jeremy Best.
A valet and worker on the starting gate crew at Remington Park, Best risked his own life to help rescue legendary 69-year-old Quarter Horse rider Roy Brooks.
He also rescued his 83-year-old neighbor, Beverly Bay, who was pinned under her car.

RTCA Chaplains Provide Assistance to Backside Workers
 In fulfillment of its mission to make disciples for Jesus Christ, 61 RTCA Chaplains have reported that so far in 2011, they've had a tremendous impact in the following ways: - 1,123 worship services
- 602 Bible studies
- 251 baptisms and known salvations

 Master of Ceremonies Coach D Robinson (left) greeted 145 guests November 3 at the 9th annual RTCA White Horse Award ceremony at Churchill Downs.
The auction and luncheon raise funds in support of racetrack ministry and chaplain training.
Two outstanding individuals and one organization were honored for their contribution to horse racing and for their benefit to mankind.
The award recipients were:

Community Service Award - National Horsemen's Benevolent & Protective Association

Susan and Bill Casner

Bill Casner, owner of Well Armed and winner of the 2009 Dubai World Cup, gave a moving keynote address about the story of Well Armed, born the same day as his late daughter Karri.
"Well Armed carried Susan and me to the highest mountain top we've ever been on," Casner said. "He had what my dear mother referred to as gumption."

Chaplains School and Annual Meeting - March 14-18, 2012
 The 2012 CSAM is beginning to take shape. The Arizona council is very excited to be the host council and is looking forward to showing off some of what their state has to offer. The Winners Federation will host its annual convention before the meeting and will offer classes specifically for race track chaplains on Wednesday, March 14. Please pray that God will direct the CSAM committee as to what God desires to take place, and that the classes and the fellowship will uplift all who attend.
