We are pleased to announce that EPS has been awarded a contract to supply 4 high efficiency, natural gas fuelled 2G-agenitor CHP modules to be installed at the new terminal currently under construction at the Calgary International Airport. Next time you travel through the Calgary Airport, power and heat for the new terminal may well be provided by one of four CHP systems to be supplied by EPS. Each CHP module is a complete, packaged CHP system, manufactured by 2G Energietechnik from Germany, with controls, heat recovery equipment, gas train, sound enclosure with ventilation fan and silencers, all mounted on a common skid with the generator set. This high profile contract brings to eight the total of 2G CHP systems sold across Western Canada in recent months and has established a strong foundation from which we will further grow our presence in the West. |

Last month a 2G manufactured, 1,060 kW, biogas fuelled, CHP system arrived at the Fraser Richmond Soil and Fibre Site in Richmond, BC. The containerized CHP system utilizes a GE Jenbacher, model J320, gas engine and is complete with heat recovery, fuel treatment, gas conditioning, gas compression, oil storage, etc., for a complete, pre-engineered, fully functional system. The complete CHP system was delivered, off-loaded and assembled by EPS and provides the customer with 3 connection points to interface with:
- Gas (at inlet of gas conditioning module)
- Electrical outlet (at the breaker terminals)
- Hot water (supply and return)
Complete system assembly took less than 3 days. The Fraser Richmond project is one of eleven 2G/EPS Biogas fuelled CHP systems sold across Canada during the past 2.5 years demonstrating a significant demand for complete system solutions as are being offered by EPS/2G.
By choosing for a complete, pre-engineered, fully assembled CHP system our customers can be assured that the equipment provided will perform as intended, save on installation and engineering costs, and maximize system availability/reliability, which ultimately will result in the best possible return on their CHP investment.
