Featured Threadhead Records Project: Jesse Moore

Jesse Moore

This month we are featuring the latest project from musician/actor Jesse Moore. The new CD, his second on Threadhead Records, initially projected to be an original work with a full band, has morphed into a live, solo recording comprised mostly of original songs, both old and new.

Recording began at the Old Point Bar in July during Jesse's "Five Moore Years" celebration, marking five years of Sunday gigs for Moore at the bar and will include an appearance by Wilson & Moore partner and neighbor, Chip Wilson.

Tentatively set for a late August release, Jesse's highly anticipated new THR project will truly be something to look forward to and THR is proud to be a part of it. Learn More or Contribute to the Cause here .

The Honeypots

2) The Honeypots blend the strong vocals, lyrical sensibilities, and thoughtful musicality of Lynn Drury, Margie Perez, and Monica McIntyre. These three songwriters, talented musicians in their own right, have come together; creating unique spins on their original compositions as well as beloved covers. These songbirds love to sing and it shows in their sweet harmonies.  This project will be their debut album.

Paul Sanchez

3) Paul Sanchez will begin recording his latest offering in August. Called Reclamation, it will be a mix of new and oldsongs, one of which will be a duet with Michael Cerveris. After two years of working on something as sprawling as Nine Lives, this will be Paul being Paul with acoustic solo and full band tracks.

Featured Mystery Street Records Project

Nine Lives - A Musical Adaptation Vol 1 has been released - and performed - to overwhelmingly positive press and interest.  But the vision is not complete.  The 14 or so remaining songs for Nine Lives, A Musical Adaptation need to be recorded and produced.

The tentative plan is to go back into the studio in January to record the final selection of songs to complete the work.  Nine Lives - A Musical Adaption Vol 2 is planned for release in time for Jazz Fest 2012.  To that end, we are looking for sponsors to make this a reality.

There are six levels of sponsorship with benefits, detailed here. A list of tentative tracks is also included. You can be a part of this amazing project by choosing one of the levels below to contribute to the fund* to complete the second phase of Colman & Paul's vision.  Learn more about the project here.

*This Mystery Street Records project uses sponsorship as a way to raise funds. Contributions will not be paid back to sponsors.
