Go figure I rush to get the Bella Donna in the water for the 1st of May and it starts raining. I do the same for my Southern Cross, the Sarah Maria, this past Saturday and again rain is predicted. I am not complaining we really need the rain and now that both boats are in the water I can devote my full attention to them.
I have now added a new stack pack sail cover to the Bella Donna which will make it even easier to put the sails away at the end of the day, very important to me as we come up the Merrimac River on a crowded weekend. The Bella Donna is now ready to sail and I am thinking of doing our first basic sailing class this coming weekend.
This is a great time of year to sail as the winds should be light in the morning and picking up in the afternoon, then laying back down in the evening, giving us a chance to start of slowly, then reefing the sails as the weather picks up.
If you are interested in this class, email me at edcasazza@mac.com or give me a call at 508-451-0431
