Well, the Southern Cross owners meeting is now gone by, along with Super Bowl Sunday, Eagle Fest, and by this coming weekend the boat show will be history as well.
Daylight saving time will be on March 11 just three weeks away.
May 1 is right around the corner, and if the weather cooperates one of my boats should be in the water by then.
The next few weeks for me will be spent renewing my captains license, now for the second time, as I have now had my license for 10 years. This will be season eight running Captain Ed's Sailing.
For the 2012 season I already have to people signed up for sailing packages, and are as excited to get moving as I am. You would not think that I would be ready to get out sailing after a 45 day trip to the Caribbean, however I am ready as well.
Both the Bella Donna and the Sarah Maria have been re rigged and the sails to both boats are in the Withum sail loft being repaired.
Check out my sailing packages below, and use the discount coupons to save some money.
A family sailing adventure is a great way to spend time sailing as a family without the expense and responsibilities of owning a boat. Take a single class to test the waters, and see if sailing is for you. Or sign up for a four class sailing package, to sail more and pay less.
Also don't forget to bid on an evening sail for four through the Opportunity Works lend a hand auction.
Hopefully I will see you in the spring.
Captain Ed
