Greetings!
It has been over a month since leaving the Virgin Islands, after delivering the  WindSong from Kittery point. Looking back it was a great trip. It was nice hooking up with Dr Lenny Block and Gerry Murphy as I don't get to see them unless I am down south these days.
Things have changed for me since the trip . I have sold my house a long the river in Amesbury and am now living in an apartment on a friends farm as I decide where I will be going next. The farm is in Deerfield NH about 40 miles from my boats and all of my friends in the Newburyport area. Except for the price of gas I like it out here and so does Mika the wonder dog. Don't fret though  I will be living on the two boats on the river in the summer, and will be able to give them all of the attention  they deserve.  We will all be better for it, and I plan on having a blast.
I have some great ideas coming up for the 2012 season and have people already signed up for classes. I also have my repeat customers who have already expressed interest in this coming season.
Both the Sarah Maria and the Bella Donna are ready to be put in the water. I hope to move a couple of  boats between March and June giving me plenty of sailing time this season as  last.
To cap of last year I was away from home just short of three months delivering boats and made just about 40 trips between the Bella Donna and the Sarah Maria. A lot of sailing, and I am ready to do it again.
If you would like to join me sign up for one of my classes.

Thanks again

I want to take this time to thank everyone for all of the support that I have received over the past year from clients, family, friends, and other businesses.

I want to thank John Savage, Rudy Jasper, Ed Ferris, Bob Mills, and Carol (the lady who owns Sea Castle). For allowing me to sail their boats, especially Rudy, Bob, and John who kept me busy out of season. I want to thank the Compass Rose, plus the others who never fail to open my newsletters. Also  EJ at Whole Music for his support as I started Captain Ed's Sailing in 2005, and for also being on my I pod when I needed to get away from the constant playing of Jimmy Buffet songs 24 hours a day while on my last delivery. Thanks to JC, Dori, and Karen for taking care of Mika the wonder dog while I was sailing south this past year as well. That was a big help and could not do this with out them. I also want to thank Paul Nguyen, and Bob Mills, plus anyone else who has submitted any photographs for my newsletters.

On the quick links section of this news letter is some links to web pages of people and businesses that have supported me this past year. Check them out by clicking on their links, you will find some cool stuff.

Need training on your own boat ?

Captain Ed's Sailing will serve all of your sailing needs from helping you find a boat that will fit your needs to delivering and training you on that boat.

Could you use a little refresher class or would you like to know how to change oil or winterize your boat . We do it all.

I have a client out of Ipswitch Ma.  after taking my sailing class for a couple of years, has now purchased his own boat.  Each year Ed takes a refresher class, as I help him deliver his 25ft Catalina to Ipswitch in the spring and back to Newburyport in the fall. Ed is a great sailor but  is wise enough to realize that there is a lot to learn. During the last 2 trips back to Newburyport we hit some pretty windy weather and it was nice to be able to show him what his boat could actually do.

Get a boat pick your crew and give me a call at 508-451-0431
