Race to the Top News

The transformation team met on March 8 at the VCS office. The team split into groups and reviewed the iNACOL standards.

Education consultant, Bruce Friend visited the VCS office on April 9th and 10th. He worked with the Building Leadership Team to develop the instructional model and the teacher handbook.

Greetings!

Jim McCord

Although we are an online school, I think the face-to-face interaction opportunities we have with our students is outstanding! I got the chance to attend a tennis match this weekend of VCS 5th grader, Tommy Rutkus. He is currently ranked #1 in Ohio in the USTA's 10-and-under rankings and took home his 25th championship this weekend. What an accomplishment for such a talented, young kid!

I hope to meet and reconnect with many other wonderful students at the Family Literacy Night tonight and the spring picnic next weekend. I hope you all can attend as well. I think the kids enjoy the social interaction just as much as we do.

Go Wolves!

Respectfully,

Jim McCord

Superintendent
