Race to the Top News

The transformation team met on February 22 at the VCS office. An overview of the External Site Review and the School Improvement Diagnostic Review was given. Team members presented a new standardized course redesign, which will be presented to the entire staff on March 9. Members also reviewed iNACOL Standard B1 and B2 and brainstormed ideas of present and future online teaching and technology tools. The next meeting is scheduled for March 8.

Greetings!

Jim McCord

Even though there are still 18 days until spring, I am always a little more cheery when the first day of March arrives. As the school year winds down, we find ourselves wishing for more time in the day to get everything accomplished. Yesterday, our wish was granted, and we celebrated leap day, giving us 24 extra hours!  At VCS, we used our extra day to plan for many upcoming events such as OGTs, OAAs, the spring picnic and graduation. How did you spend your extra time? I hope on your studies!

Every year, I am amazed by the quality of students we have at VCS. I want to personally congratulate all of our honor roll students from the first semester. Keep up your outstanding efforts! You can see the complete list of honor students below.
