ESC Partner Meeting
May 4

ESC Roundtable
June 15

Greetings!

Rick

The sun is shining and birds are chirping...at least for now! I'm hopeful spring is here for good, but you never know with Ohio weather. I think the meeting we held last month was very productive and beneficial...so much that we are doing a repeat of that meeting for those who couldn't attend last time and those who want to participate again. We are also planning another meeting in June where you will have the chance to drive the discussion and interact with other ESC partners. See the articles below for more details. I look forward to seeing you again soon!

Sincerely,

Mr. Rick Teeters

Director of Special Programs

Plan now to attend these upcoming events!

On Wednesday, May 4 we will hold an encore presentation of the meeting we held at the VCS office on March 8. You will see how VCS works, learn about the programs we offer and see the marketing toolkit. This meeting is intended for people who were unable to attend last time and those who want to attend again. You are welcome to invite members of your staff, as well as district staff members who might be interested. The meeting will be held at the VCS Ohio office, 4480 Refugee Road, Columbus, OH 43232 from 10am-2pm. Lunch will be provided. Please RSVP to Jill Workman with the names of the people attending.

Also, mark your calendar for Thursday, June 15 for a meeting where the discussion will be driven by you, our VCS partners! You will have the opportunity to discuss what's working, what's not, how we can collaborate and plan for next year. The meeting will be held at the VCS office from 10am-1pm. Watch for more details as the date draws closer!

Do you like to write?  If so, tell us why!  I love to write! I like creating poems and writing stories. I like to use

my imagination.

What is your favorite movie? Hello Dolly

Do you have any siblings? Yes, my little sister, Daphne.

What is your favorite food? I don't have one. There are too many things to choose from.

What made you choose VCS versus a traditional school?  I was going to be in the local middle school this year, and I wasn't sure that I would be comfortable there. Its reputation isn't the best.

Any advice you would like to share with your fellow students?  Yes, Love! Love is the strongest force in the universe.

VCS Teacher Spotlight: Mr. Jim Reynolds
Jim Reynolds

Mr. Reynolds teaches high school science

What is your favorite thing about VCS? I think the flexibility of the student schedules.  Students may do the work for their classes when the student is available to concentrate and do their best work at any time day/night.

What do you want students to accomplish while they attend VCSI would like for all of the students to experience success in their classes, develop a positive attitude toward school and life, and to GRADUATE.

What advice do you want to pass on to students?  Please take advantage of the wonderful opportunity to attend VCS, use your teachers experience and knowledge to the best of your ability, ask questions, work hard, and experience tremendous success.
