Greetings!
Jim McCord
It's hard to believe Thanksgiving is next week! Personally, I am very thankful to work with such an outstanding, dedicated staff. I truly believe we have a very special culture at VCS with staff members who care about our students and each other. Although we do face challenges, I am thankful that we are able to make a difference in the lives of so many students. That's why we're here, right? The fact that we enjoy ourselves in the process is just whipped cream on the pumpkin pie. Thank you for everything you do. Go Wolves!
Get in the holiday spirit by helping a VCS Family in need!

gift

This year, we have chosen two VCS families to sponsor for our annual Holiday Help project.

Family #1 - Single mother with 2 young children, both suffering from autism with the youngest having an extremely severe case. Due to the autism, this family is very limited as to what they can have in the house.  They also are without transportation, so monetary donations are recommended.

Family#2 - This family is facing some very tough health and financial struggles. The mother has been battling cancer and the father has recently become ill. They are struggling to pay their medical bills. They have also been without a car for three years and depend on public transportation (COTA - Columbus). The son, our student, enjoys science, particularly astronomy. It would be nice for him to receive a few gifts, in addition to the things they need. He functions at an early elementary level.

We will be collecting donations at the next professional development on December 6.  Monetary donations as well as gift cards from Columbus area stores such as Kroger, Giant Eagle, Target and Meijer are recommenced.

Additionally, Jessica Yeager and the student council are conducting a food drive. Items will be donated to a food pantry. If you can, please bring a canned or boxed food item to donate. There are many hungry families who need our help!
