Last day of first semester

Greetings!

Jim McCordThe school year is well underway, and, as usual, exciting things are happening at VCS Ohio! The hard work of our students, parents and staff members has translated to a jump in our academic rating issued by the Ohio Department of Education. We are now rated in Continuous Improvement. I feel very positive about the progress we've made, and I have confidence we'll continue to do better each year. If you'd like to see the full report card, click here. Congratulations! Go Wolves!

Sincerely,

Mr. Jim McCord, Superintendent

Pick up a good book and read during D.E.A.R. Time

DEARStudents, families and faculty are invited to take part in an exciting new program called D.E.A.R. Time on the Nine.  Every Wednesday at either 9 a.m. or 9 p.m., DROP EVERYTHING AND READ!  It's that simple.  Stop whatever you are doing and pick up your favorite novel or even a new book, and read for fifteen to thirty minutes.  We will continue D.E.A.R. Time for the rest of the school year.  Have fun reading!

Introducing... the first ever VCS Ohio YEARBOOK!

yearbook spreadVCS is very excited to announce the launch of our first ever yearbook!  This will be a great way to showcase our wonderful students and their accomplishments for the year.

We will have two separate books, one for High School and one for Elementary and Middle School.  The yearbook will be available in one of two ways.  We will have a 40 page, full-color, soft-back copy for you to purchase, at just $20 per book!  This includes the price of shipping the book directly to you. We are also going to have an online, interactive yearbook that you can access for FREE! Both versions will be available in summer 2011.

Now, here is where we need your help.  We can't be everywhere, so we need everyone to submit pictures! Pictures of you with your families, you working or volunteering, playing sports or even doing homework.  The possibilities are endless.  The theme this year is "Our Classroom," so let's showcase what makes VCS unique!
