October 21, 2011                                                                          Weekly Blurb

Welcome to First United Methodist Church
of Michigan City

Greetings!

In Matthew Chapter 7, verse 2 Jesus made a simple statement of truth.  However, it is a positive statement that, if practiced, would lead to a better life, church, community, country and world.  It is a message that Pastor Tim has been sharing with us for weeks.  Hello, are we listening?  Now is the time to put this teaching into practice; to incorporate it into our daily lives so that everyone will know, as written in a song by Peter Scholtes, "that we are Christians by our love, by our love!  Oh, did I forget to tell you the message that Jesus gave us?  Jesus simply said "For others will treat you as you treat them."  This is a simple message that we all should be able to put into practice.  Will we?
