Welcome to First United Methodist Church
of Michigan City
Greetings!
Here are some thoughts about our church as expressed to me by some of our members:
- 1st UMC is a place of pride, a place of history within Michigan City, and a place where biblical stories are told on the premise of faith.
- We encourage all members to consider 1st UMC beyond Sunday; to consider it as a place of spiritual nourishment whose teachings can be shared throughout the week.
- 1st UMC embraces inclusiveness as we walk throughout our Christian journey.
- 1st UMC's members take ownership by providing the needed support and resources for this community of Christians to thrive while continuing to spread the message that great church is real and alive!
- Members, here, are the community designers, the visionaries for the future, and the continual inspiration for all who enter 1st UMC searching for a safe place to call home.
- Thank you to the members of 1st UMC for their unwavering support and participation!
John VW
