Welcome to First United Methodist Church
of Michigan City
Greetings!
It is hard to believe that 10 years have passed since the date of attack on our soil by those who sought, and still seek, to impose their will on our country. Rather than give a forum for debate, I would request that we all take a moment to reflect on the events of the day. Please pray for the many people whose lives were changed by the horrific event we all witnessed. Remember that, even today, lives are still being touched by these events, especially our soldiers and their families. Our prayers are needed 1) to grant comfort to those needing comfort, 2) to grant a forgiving spirit to those needing to forgive and 3) to provide the strength and grace desired to help us, both as individuals and as a Country, heal spiritually and emotionally.
Stop now!
Say a prayer for all of us affected by the events of 9/11/01 and for those affected by the events which have since followed.
May God Bless America
John VW
