Service Hours Update

As the year comes to a close, the final tally of service hours is almost complete, and it looks very likely that Notre Dame will meet its unofficial goal of 10,000 hours of service completed.  To the hardworking students and parents who have made this possible: thank you!

Unfortunately, there are still underclassmen students who have not yet completed the service hour requirement.  Freshmen must complete 5 hours of service, while sophomores and juniors must complete 15 hours of service.  Completing the service hour requirement is necessary to move on to the next grade.  Mr. St.Onge will personally contact the parents/guardians of any students who have not completed their service hours by the school year's end.  There are still several service opportunities available for students, including work to be done at ND after the exam periods are completed on Monday, June 11, and Tuesday, June 12.

Those students who have completed their service hours may begin working on next year's service requirement on June 15th.  Recall that all rising seniors, juniors, and sophomores must complete 15 hours of service for the 2012-2013 school year.

If you have any questions, please contact Mr. St.Onge at stonge@notredame.org.
Mr. St.Onge On The Radio

Notre Dame's own Mr. St.Onge will be appearing on Thoughts for the Week this Sunday, June 10, and on Sunday, June 24.  He will be discussing his experiences teaching religion at Notre Dame, the many challenges faced by young people today, and his novel, The Champion.  For more information, including what station to tune in and the times of the broadcasts, please visit his blog.

Golf Is Right Around the Corner ...
