The scholarship was created to identify, provide financial assistance and track the future paths of exceptionally talented art students. To be eligible, students must be between 14 and 17 years old. The selected artist will be eligible to receive funding for up to one year of study at the Silvermine School of Art in New Canaan. Click here to download additional scholarship information and an application.

Scholarship Renewed

The consulting firm of AES Engineers is committed to continuing its support of higher education by providing scholarships to deserving students.

To be eligible the student needs to answer one of the essay questions that they will find on the AES site. Their belief is that achieving a high grade point average should not be the only criteria for determining who deserves to be helped. For that reason they are offering a scholarship that will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by evaluating the essays that are submitted.

The amount of award is $500.00. Entries are due by October 5, 2012. For further information, including previous winners, visit their web site at: www.aesengineers.com/scholarships.htm.

Greenwich Youth Film Festival

The Greenwich Youth Film Festival has announced its list of notable judges including Ron Howard and Blue Sky Studios. Entries are being accepted until February 17, 2012. Students can get entry materials and rules at www.jlgreenwich.org under the Greenwich Youth Film Festival.
