Very Ambitious ND Strategic Plan Unveiled
In recent weeks, Notre Dame announced the unveiling of Notre Dame Fairfield 2016: Aspire and Achieve, our new Strategic Plan. This plan will guide our growth and development over the next five years. Click here to read the document. The plan is divided into six sections: Academic Affairs, Catholic Identity, Student Life, Facilities, Advancing Reputation & Growth and Alumni & Development. Our community is very excited about the course this plan lays out for the growth of Notre Dame. Thanks to the faculty, staff, parents and alumni who helped share ideas and develop the final document. Special thanks to the Strategic Plan Steering Committee who oversaw the eight month development of this plan: George Estrada '79 (Chair), Jim Barquinero, Marianne Cassidy, Ginger More '64, Dave Salce, Josh St. Onge, and Deb Tietjen '79.

Mid-Term exams began on Friday, January 13 and will end on Friday, January 20. Two exams per day will be given. The exam schedule is determined by class periods this year. Periods D & E exams will be given on January 17, Periods F & G on January 18 and Period H on January 19. January 20 will serve as a make-up exam day.
The first exam will begin at 7:50 a.m. and the second exam at 9:35 a.m. Busing will be provided before school and after the second exam ends at 11:05 a.m. If students only have the first exam of the day, they can leave after the exam - if they drive or if they are picked up. If they only have the second exam of the day, they must arrive at school by 9:30 a.m. If students take Notre Dame busing and only have one exam, they can study in the cafeteria during their free time, where breakfast foods are available for purchase.
In the event of a snow day, exams are pushed off one day. In the event of a delayed opening, the first exam will be given at 10:00 am, concluding at 11:30, with the second exam running from 11:45 am to 1:15 pm.
Mid-Term exams count as ten percent of the final class average. Students must be present on their exam days. Permission must be granted by the administration for a make-up exam.

Stop & Shop's A+ School Rewards Program
ND has the opportunity to earn cash through Stop & Shop's A+ School Rewards Program. All you have to do is click here or call (877) 275-2758 to register your card.
After you register your card, each shopping trip at Stop & Shop using your Stop & Shop Card earns cash for our school! Each month, the amount of cash awarded will be updated on the Stop & Shop website. You can track the amount of points you earn for our school by checking your grocery receipt and online when you create an account at www.stopandshop.com.
Remember, even if you registered your card last year, you must re-register this year for our school to receive credit. Attending to this simple process makes a huge difference to our school. We need your support. Please be sure to register your card to benefit Notre Dame (using ID #05808).
Also, don't forget to encourage your friends and relatives to do the same. Thanks for supporting Notre Dame! |
