Open House Success
Thank you to everyone who helped spread the word about Notre Dame's Open House on Sunday, May 1. 90 families visited Notre Dame, which was a 36% increase over the previous year's event. Prospective families participated in a student-led tour and many hands-on activities. Special thanks to those Notre Dame community members - faculty, staff, students and parents - who helped to make the day so successful.
Campus Ministry
On Friday, April 29, our 6th Annual Freshman Field Day was held.  Freshmen played big brother or sister for the day to Hall Elementary School in Bridgeport's third through six grades.  The beautiful weather provided the setting for a fun day of fellowship, athleticism, and fun.  Special thanks to the senior team who helped facilitate the events.  Seniors included Chris Drusbosky, Tom Plelan, Jeovany Colon, Jeff Correia, Shyam Desai, Josh Hamel, Eamonn Monks, Billy Nobitz, Marcus Ortiz, AJ Gallucci, Mike Saia, John Ross, Brian Sanca, Ben Viccari, Frank Silvi, Eric Sugrue, Billy Stimple, Lauren Crispino, Brittany Barstein, Abbey Baricko, Jackie Bria, Carly Chacon, Cierra Eldridge, Maggie Fallon, Destiny George, Dianne Gutierrez, Sarah Heine, Jess Kuhn, Tracey Kamlani, Michelle Zentarski, Caitlin Shea-Vantine, Annie Sutila, Monique Plummer, Karina Morales, Bianca Carrasquillo, Ashley Almeida, and Danielle DeMonte.

On Thursday, May 5, the junior class retreat was held at Holy Family Retreat Center in West Hartford.  The theme of the day was "God Changes Everything."  Students talked about the stress of the weights they carry, watched a short video on the importance of trust, attended mass, had to work cooperatively to play a team building game, and learned how to pray using movement, song, and dance.

On Tuesday, May 3 the Girls' Tennis Team and Father Cip enjoyed some bonding time with a night out for dinner followed by the 3D viewing experience of the movie "Rio".

On Wednesday, May 4 the cast and crew of Beauty and the Beast gathered for Mass with Father Cip which was followed by a light breakfast.

We are excited to announce the first annual Notre Dame Family Service Day. On Saturday, May 21 from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm, we would like to invite our families to participate in a day of service together, parents and students. We are planning to have over twenty work sites in the greater-Bridgeport area and need your help to be able to serve these needy organizations. At this time, arrangements are being made with various organizations and people to coordinate projects that will include soup kitchens, food pantries, nursing homes, schools, churches, and clean-up projects. If your family is interested in volunteering, please complete this form and return to Jessica Medoff at Notre Dame ASAP.

In addition, we plan to have donuts, juice and coffee in the morning and a celebratory BBQ following for all volunteers. We need some parents to help coordinate these efforts, including soliciting donations. Please let Ms. Medoff know via email (medoff@notredame.org) if you are interested in helping in this capacity.
