Message from Bishop Lori

Dear Students, Faculty and Parents at Notre Dame Catholic High School,

When in recent days I celebrated my tenth anniversary as Bishop of Bridgeport, I received many thoughtful gifts from many people, near and far.

Yet no gift touched my heart more powerfully and no gift meant more to me personally than the Spiritual Bouquets, which were presented to me by the students from all the schools around the Diocese at the conclusion of Mass at St. Augustine Cathedral on March 19, the Solemnity of St. Joseph, Patron of the Universal Church.

So for all the prayers, all the Rosaries, all the visits to the Blessed Sacrament, all the cards, all the flowers, and all the special intentions offered on my behalf, I am truly and sincerely grateful to each of you. May God bless you and your school community abundantly.

Faithfully in Christ,

Most Reverend William E. Lori

Notre Dame Family Service Day
We are excited to announce the first annual Notre Dame Family Service Day. On Saturday, May 21 from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm, we would like to invite our families to participate in a day of service together, parents and students. We are planning to have over twenty work sites in the greater-Bridgeport area and need your help to be able to serve these needy organizations. At this time, arrangements are being made with various organizations and people to coordinate projects that will include soup kitchens, food pantries, nursing homes, schools, churches, and clean-up projects. If your family is interested in volunteering, please complete this form and return to Jessica Medoff at Notre Dame by Monday, May 2.

In addition, we plan to have donuts, juice and coffee in the morning and a celebratory BBQ following for all volunteers. We need some parents to help coordinate these efforts, including soliciting donations. Please let Ms. Medoff know via email (medoff@notredame.org) if you are interested in helping in this capacity.
