Thank you...
A special thank you to the Cassidy and Barquinero families who hosted receptions in their homes last weekend for parents of admitted students. Their hospitality is very much appreciated! |

Congratulations to...
Nicholas Pond '14 and Jillian Gelmetti '14 who will be attending the National Young Leaders State Conference in Boston, Massachusetts from February 10-13. NYLSC challenges each scholar to step forward with conviction and confidence, to grasp the concepts of leadership and to act upon his/her dreams of making a difference in their community. With the insight and guidance of highly trained facilitators and the assistance of their peers, scholars work within each activity to hone their plan of personal leadership. |

Campus Ministry News
On Monday, Notre Dame celebrated mass to mark the start of Catholic Schools Week. The theme of the 38th annual celebration is "Catholic Schools are an A+ for America" which was meant to celebrate high academic standards, high graduation rates, and support for developing strong moral values Catholic schools succeed in providing. This was also a mass of remembrance for faculty member Dr. Rob DeSimone.
Thanks to Eric Sugrue '11 and Ashley Almeida '11 for going with Fr. Cip and Miss Medoff to serve lunch at the Bridgeport Rescue Mission on Thursday. Big thanks also to Mrs. Marzik and Jessica Marzik '06 for bringing students to volunteer at Cambridge Manor. Students who participated were Rachel Young '11, Youngin Kim '11, Shyam Desai '11, Maggie Fallon '11 and Megan Pace '12 and Rachel Hiatt '12.

Frank Carrano Memorial Scholarship
Mark your calendars ... please join us on Saturday, February 26 at the Milford Ice Pavilion at 7:00 p.m. for the Annual Frank Carrano Charity Hockey Game. On July 25, 1999, the Notre Dame community suffered a sudden loss with the death of Frank Carrano '99. Frank's mark will be forever with us - from the image of his smiling face, to his outgoing personality and his positive outlook, to his ability and desire to enjoy life to its fullest. Frank will further be remembered for his love of hockey and lacrosse and as tri-captain of the 1998-99 State Championship Ice Hockey Team. Frank impacted so many lives and the memory of #66 will always be with us. To make a donation to the scholarship or for more information, visit our website.
