Thank you...
A special thank you to the Meyer and O'Reilly families who hosted receptions in their homes last weekend for parents of admitted students. Their hospitality is very much appreciated!

A big thank you also goes out to all who attended the hockey fundraiser.  With your help, we raised $600 that will be donated to Gaylord Hospital.

Campus Ministry News
Eleven students from Notre Dame joined with students, staff, parishoners, parents, and alumni from across the diocese to represent the Diocese of Bridgeport at the 38th annual March for Life in Washington D.C. this past weekend.  Joining Fr. Cip, Miss Medoff, and Mr. St. Onge were Jackie Bria '11, Lilly Staudt '11, Eamonn Monks '11, Mike Saia '11, Maggie Fallon '11, Shyam Desai '11, Mary Kate Vicenzi '12, Mary Boyle '12, Rachel Hiatt '12, Megan Pace '12, and Amanda Reay '14.  Students were present for the kick off mass at the National Shrine which was attended by over 10,000 people.  On Sunday morning, they participated in the Youth Rally at the Verizon Center with 20,000 people from across the country and then proceeded to march in solidarity with thousands more to the Supreme Court where people rallied to peacefully voice their disagreement with the Roe V. Wade Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion.  Special thanks to alumni Auri Boyle who also helped chaperone.

Parents/Guardian Appreciation Day
Please join us on Wednesday, February 2 from 7:00 to 8:30 a.m. for a continental breakfast in the Notre Dame library. This is a small way for Notre Dame to say thank you to our parents and guardians, as our community celebrates Catholic Schools Week 2011.
Auditions Held This Week for Beauty and the Beast
Auditions for Notre Dame's spring musical, Beauty and the Beast, will take place on Tuesday, February 1 from 6:00 - 9:30 pm and Wednesday, February 2 from 2:15 - 5:00 pm.  Callbacks will be on Thursday, February 3 from 6:30 - 9:30 pm.  Students interested in auditioning should plan on attending one audition date and possibly the callback date as well.  Audition requirements and any questions should be directed to Mr. St. Onge or Mrs. Marzik.  All students are encouraged to audition.  The production of Beauty and the Beast will take place on Friday, May 6 and Saturday, May 7 at Sacred Heart University's Edgerton Center for the Arts.
Frank Carrano Memorial Scholarship
Mark your calendars ... please join us on Saturday, February 26 at the Milford Ice Pavilion at 7:00 p.m. for the Annual Frank Carrano Charity Hockey Game. On July 25, 1999, the Notre Dame community suffered a sudden loss with the death of Frank Carrano '99. Frank's mark will be forever with us - from the image of his smiling face, to his outgoing personality and his positive outlook, to his ability and desire to enjoy life to its fullest. Frank will further be remembered for his love of hockey and lacrosse and as tri-captain of the 1998-99 State Championship Ice Hockey Team. Frank impacted so many lives and the memory of #66 will always be with us.  To make a donation to the scholarship or for more information, visit our website.
ND Alumni in the News

Notre Dame alum Garrett Mendez '05 was recently interviewed by Fox 61 Sportscaster Rich Coppola. Garrett suffered a stroke during his freshman year in college and has since made a remarkable recovery. Click here to watch Garrett's interview.
