A Resident Expresses "Thanks" for Cross Roads House
Your support allows us to continue with our mission of assisting the homeless in our community. Read what one of our residents recently wrote about Cross Roads House.
"I can say that I honestly don't know what would've happened without the help of this shelter. You helped with so much and provided blankets for my grandchildren when it was cold. I believe the [Cross Roads House] staff and Families First do everything they can to provide the services available for local people. God bless you." -- June |

Have you ever considered volunteering at Cross Roads House?
Seven nights a week, our volunteers prepare and serve dinner to our residents. Join our team of volunteers as a cook, server, or prep assistant. We can arrange a schedule that fits your needs.
Find out more by attending our next Volunteer Orientation on Wednesday, October 17, from 5:30 - 6:30 pm at our shelter. The orientation will include a shelter tour, an overview of kitchen operations, volunteer expectations, and a chance to see volunteers in action!
If you have any questions about volunteering or about our orientation program, please contact JoAnn Rohde who schedules all volunteers: j.rohde@crossroadshouse.org or 436-2218 x 107.

Thank you Merck employees!
A group of Merck employees from NH, ME, and VT recently gathered for a two day meeting in Portsmouth. Each employee was invited to bring an item from our wish list. The employees embraced this opportunity to give back and showed up armed with bags full of wonderful items like personal care products, sheets, and towels.
In addition to bringing in the wish list items, the employees watched our most recent anniversary video (also available on our website) and heard more about how their contributions would help the shelter residents.
Thanks again for all the generous donations!
