Dear Friends,

During this holiday season, we gratefully acknowledge our many supporters and volunteers who make it possible for us to shelter, protect, and provide for the homeless men, women, and children who stay at Cross Roads House.

We do our best to make the holidays bright for our residents who are experiencing homelessness and you can help in lots of different ways. Throughout the month we've got several holiday activities planned for our residents.  Volunteers have generously offered to come in to sing carols, play music, build gingerbread houses, decorate cookies, take family photos, fill stockings, and more!  A special party is planned for both children and adults and all residents will be receiving gifts provided by our donors.

This holiday season please consider helping some of the most vulnerable members of our community. Your gift will help us deliver lifesaving services and hope that a better future is possible.

Ways to help this holiday season:

  • Make a financial donation - We're open 24/7/365. Help us operate the shelter; we rely on donors to provide 2/3 of our operating budget annually.   Donate online or mail a check to Cross Roads House, 600 Lafayette Road, Portsmouth, NH 03801.

Volunteer Orientation

Have you ever considered volunteering at Cross Roads House?

Dinner for our shelter residents is prepared and served seven nights a week by volunteers and we could use your help! Find out more by attending our next Volunteer Orientation on Wednesday, January 11th from 5:30 - 6:30 pm at our shelter.   The orientation will include a shelter tour, an overview of kitchen operations, volunteer expectations, and a chance to see that evening's volunteers in action!

To sign up or ask questions, please contact:

JoAnn Rohde who handles the scheduling of all volunteers:  j.rohde@crossroadshouse.org or 436-2218 x 107
