Hello and welcome to the the Whistler Half Marathon. Although this is not our official newsletter just yet (those will begin in the fall) you are getting a preview to what you can expect to see arrive in your mail box as we lead up to the event.
Our newsletter will keep you updated on all major announcements through the rest of 2010 and get you motivated in the new year. I would like to take the opportunity to thank each of you for signing up for our newsletters and supporting us as we get the Whistler Half Marathon off the ground.

Make your mark Become a Race Ambassador and help us make the Whistler Half Marathon a run to remember.
Making the Whistler Half Marathon a first class event right from year one is a key goal of the organizing committee. A world class destination like Whistler needs a world class running event, and we need you to help us. Become a race ambassador and make your mark! We are looking for dedicated people to act as a sounding board for our organizing committee. Being a race ambassador requires you to commit to attending 3 meetings in Whistler between October 2010 and spring 2011, plus being available via e-mail to provide feedback on suggestions from the organization committee. Help us build the Whistler Half Marathon Soundtrack
 In early fall 2010 we will begin collecting song suggestions for the official Whistler Half Marathon soundtrack on our facebook and twitter pages. The soundtrack will be compiled entirely of user generated ideas and submissions. Moderated by our friends at Mountain FM the soundtrack will be available for download early in the new year. Start planning now for the songs that you want to submit - 'cause as with everything we do - there will be prizes. So, what's on your MP3 playlist? Connect with us on facebook and twitter it will be the best way to stay on top of the soundtrack contest. |
