Dear Friends,

 

We start our Annual Appeal for your support to bridge our operating financial gap. We need to raise $8000. We are trying hard to cope with rising costs. To give you an idea, our rent expense has gone up from $16,000 in 2007 to $25,000 in the current year. All other expense categories are up too. This is an incredible cost to bear in such a short time. We anticipate the rent to go up in the Fall. This is part of the broader financial pressure faced by schools, Nassau county and New York State. We ask each and every one of you to support us - no amount is too small. Every dollar is precious to run our program and our tradition has been to keep our fees as low as possible. Your generosity has sustained us all these years and we ask you to continue to do so. Your contribution is entirely tax-deductible. 

 

We have many new projects that have become operational and many in the pipeline. This newsletter is one of them. It is a forum to share our multilayered projects. We believe that everyone has a stake in our institution and invite you to participate in the program.

  • BrainPower Classes Start Feb 7th at the Herricks Community Center. 
  !!  TALENT NITE DETAILS  !!
Tell the kids it's time for our annual Talent Show!  This event is an opportunity for our students to showcase their talents.  Please encourage the kids to do whatever they're comfortable with - singing, dancing, jokes, instrumental performance, etc. The show will begin after classes on Saturday, February 19th, 4:30 - 6:30pm. 

 

LAST CHANCE for sign up this week. Sign up is available to current YICG students, either as an individual act (3 minutes) or as a group act (5 minutes).  The show will consist of the first 20 acts to sign up.   

 

When signing up, please include: child's name, contact #, email address, type of performance, and name of song.

 

Pizza and refreshments will be served following the show.  We look forward to another entertaining evening!
