Dear Friends,

We begin a new year with a sense of anticipation. We hope all your endeavors meet with success as you look ahead. Our spring session has openings in some of our classes namely Vedic Heritage, Conversational Hindi, Adult Yoga and Adult Bollywood Fitness. Look for Talent Nite details below. Registration begins this week!

A very interesting article by David Brooks in the New Yorker. It may be a difficult read but the ending pays off! YICG has always been about the community and maintaining connections. Science is confirming that the number one key to happiness is connections!!

Having just come back from Jaipur, here is a link to the Jaipur Literary Festival. This could be a trip for the adventurous, next year!

Kripa Bhagat, a graduating senior, has shared her College Essay on YICG, and it captures the essence of the experience. Do share with friends.

BrainPower Open House!!! - Mon., Jan. 24th & Wed., Jan. 26th from 4 - 8 pm at Herricks Community Center

!! TALENT NITE DETAILS !!

Tell the kids it's time for our annual Talent Show! This event is an opportunity for our students to showcase their talents. Please encourage the kids to do whatever they're comfortable with - singing, dancing, jokes, instrumental performance, etc. The show will begin after classes on Saturday, February 19th, 4:30 - 6:30pm.

Sign up sheets will be at the front desk for the next 2 weeks, starting this Saturday. Sign up is available to current YICG students, either as an individual act (3 minutes) or as a group act (5 minutes). The show will consist of the first 20 acts to sign up.

When signing up, please include: child's name, contact #, email address, type of performance, and name of song.

Pizza and refreshments will be served following the show. We look forward to another entertaining evening!
