Sandwich, MA--Randy Hunt addressed supporters last night, thanking his family and campaign committee workers for all of their work since he announced his candidacy for the 5th Barnstable District state representative seat in February.
"We had a goal as a committee to win the election. We accomplished that goal." Randy continued, "But no one got a job tonight. Small businesses will face the same challenges tomorrow as they did yesterday. We still have the highest health insurance rates in the country. The real work begins now."
The effort now shifts to preparing for the job of representing the people of the 5th Barnstable District. A key component of this transition is to ensure that open constituent issues are managed without interruption. "Jeff Perry and I will work closely to see that nothing falls through the cracks. Jeff has built a reputation for providing stellar constituent services, something I intend to carry on and maintain at the highest level," Randy said.
Asked what his immediate plans are for the day after the election, Randy commented, "I think I'll rake leaves."
