ENTERPRISE NEWSPAPERS ENDORSE RANDY HUNT FOR STATE REPRESENTATIVE
"We have seen him, time and again, dissect the rhetoric to get to the bare skeleton of a subject"

Sandwich, MA--The Bourne and Sandwich Enterprise newspapers have endorsed Randy Hunt for state representative, saying "Mr. Hunt does his homework and puts the time and effort into studying the issues... We have seen him, time and again, dissect the rhetoric to get to the bare skeleton of a subject."

"I appreciate the editorial board's recognition that I routinely dig beneath the surface to find out what's really going on," Hunt commented. "My eight years of training as an auditor with KPMG (formerly Peat Marwick Mitchell) taught me not to accept explanations at face value. Skepticism is an auditor's best friend, which is an attribute that will serve me well when I go to work for our district in the State House."

The endorsement also opined that "Mr. Hunt has impressed us during the six years he has served Sandwich as a selectman. He has proven himself to be an ideas man, not one who simply walks the party walk and talks the party talk. We've heard him harshly criticize GOP spending policies in past years, particularly under the Bush administration in Washington and Romney here in Massachusetts."

On this point, Hunt said "Voters are simply fed up with partisan politics. I am motivated to find ways to improve the business climate in Massachusetts, especially for the small business owners who generate the vast majority of new jobs. How does being an ideologue play into this? It doesn't.

"I've been a registered Republican since I first voted in 1976, but people out of work don't care about that. They want this economy to recover. They want people on Beacon Hill who keep their best interests in mind, not the party leadership's."
