While the rest of the Bay Area baked in summer heat we soaked in the cool air of the El Cerrito Hills at Camp Herms Boy Scout Camp for a fun filled 4 days of nosework taught by Andrew Ramsey.
It was an incredible learning experience watching all the dogs learn how to use their natural gift of scent. Andrew was a master at working each dog at it's own pace and finding the best motivator for turning on each dog's natural instinct to search for odor.
We all had a great time and were exhausted after each day of work. I don't know how Andrew did it. He worked tirelessly each day, only taking a lunch break and a few needed bathroom runs.
Everyone appreciated his positive, low key, no nonsense approach to working the dogs and handlers.
Anrdrew is a great teacher and knows how to get the best from each handler and dog team.
Here is a composite video of most of the dogs working. Sorry if I missed your dog.
