Red Light - Green Light
How to teach your dog to be under control instantly
I shot the following video at E-Palooza 7 in Dubuque IA last week.
Robin MacFarlane of That's My Dog demonstrates a game she uses to teach dogs self control. This video shows how to teach dogs how to control their excitement and gain better impulse control through a game called Red Light/Green Light. This game helps dogs focus on their owners quickly even when they are very excited. The game helps dogs even in real life situations such as seeing a cat run across their path or a squirrel running up a tree. Teaching your dog how to shut off its excitement on command will keep you and your dog safe in any situation.

Class Changes Starting in October
In October I am starting the "Dogs Downtown Excursions" which will meet on Saturdays at 10 AM at a variety of downtown locations in the Valley. We will start with Walnut Creek and Pleasanton and expand later.
The first Pleasanton Class was held on Saturday Oct. 1st at Delucchi Park on 4501 1st Street in Pleasanton at 10 AM. The location will rotate every week. On Saturday Oct. 8th we will meet at Civic Park in Walnut Creek. Please check the Calendar to see where we will be meeting.
Starting October 2nd the Lake Temescal Class on Sunday will move to 10 AM. The Marina Class on Wednesday will remain the same.
The changes will help me better serve clients in Danville, San Ramon, Dublin, Pleasanton and Livermore and will give me more time to serve private clients on the weekends. |
