Greetings!
This is our first newsletter for 2011! The year has started so busy that I haven't taken the time to sit down and write. I received a few calls from previous clients right at the new year for assistance with their technology and business process challenges.
Things are starting to look up in the forest industry when companies turn to looking at improving their technology and their business processes!
What projects are you considering for this year? Sincerely,
Robert Schulz AJAE Consulting Ltd. 604-855-5255

The Use Case: A Multitude of Uses
I recently had the opportunity to review some old project information in preparation for meetings with previous clients. On these projects, we used 'Use Cases' extensively to document the scope of development.
A Use Case is a set of steps written from the User's perspective describing how they interact with a software system to produce a result.
Use Cases have several uses during a project:
1) Use Cases are prepared during requirements and design phases to help solidify the scope of a system development project. Do we have everything covered?
2) Use Cases can be expanded to support work-flow and user documentation which can be used for training.
3) Use Cases also make great test scripts. Did I miss something? How have you used Use Cases?
Send feedback to robert@ajae.ca, I'll print it in the next newsletter! |

Project Team Notable Quotes

" Don't make me think".
Rob
No, not me...
Ah, the perfect system, minimal clicks, perfect workflows, no crashes. The system is so intuitive that we don't even have to think, we simply just do.
Wouldn't we all like to be there; maybe some systems are!
Do you have a notable project team quote? Send it along; I can keep it anonymous if you like!
