Why blog? |
I like blogging. My Blog posts are inspired by insights and successes with clients, observing life, challenges I am facing myself and a myriad of other things. They are quick to do, help to make people think, and a great medium to share a point of view that needs more than the 140 characters than Twitter allows. Twitter and blogging together is a perfect marriage.
Blogging is all the rage. They are an individual yet interactive and shared medium. The world is moving so fast, that they are perfect - quick to create and digest without being overwhelming. Companies need blogs to engage the younger generation, an individual's personal blog is their on-line voice and blogs are the public face of an expert's point of view in the on-line world.
Blogs are an opportunity to express yourself, maybe be a bit irreverent, build your brand and create awareness. To get found on the web, carefully selected key words sprinkled in the blog are the essential ingredient. With beauty parades like Digg and Stumble Upon blogs and anything on-line can feel a bit like an Xfactor or Strictly Come Dancing competition, but that is the modern way of the web.

Five tips for effective blogging |

1) Blog at least twice a week. Little and often is better than occasionally with lots of words. Tweet your blog posts.
2) Use an impactful picture - a good image says a thousand words. Here is one of our blogs which we write for the financial city: Here is the City
3) Define your personal brand, choose a blog name that reflects it and use key words consistently to reflect your niche and attract your desired audience.
4) Invite guests to create blogs for you and do posts for their blogs.
5) Spread your words wider via Social Media; have share buttons and show your blog automatically on your LinkedIn profile.
