The primary outreach in Ixtlán and surrounding communities is to begin a Bible study in the homes of interested individuals. Bro. Javier shares how home Bible studies led to the conversion of he and his wife.
"A family member first shared the Word of God in the home of my sister. The seed was planted but it was necessary to water it for it to grow. The Bible studies helped us to strengthen our faith."
After he was baptized, Bro. Javier started a Bible study with a friend who is seeking.
"The important thing about home Bible studies is that many people are too embarrassed at first to come to church."
Bro. Javier's friend and his wife are now coming to church regularly.

Children with big smiles and grubby faces crowd around a table in Sis. Carmen's little house. They're excited. It's Bible story time in El Llano neighborhood. Sis. Carmen relates how God led her to begin this outreach...
"Their parents go to work and leave them alone. The unsupervised children do things they shouldn't. I saw the need and prayed the Lord would help me invite them for a Sunday school class. I love telling the children about Jesus Christ. When spending time with them, my heart and home are happy, and so are they. If I give a glass of water or a piece of candy, they are grateful. Sometimes as many as thirty children come and I don't have enough chairs."
How you can help Pray for the children and their parents. Your donations will help purchase Children's Bible story books as a valuable ministry tool. They can also be used to buy tables and chairs for teaching in the home.

Once a week a group of brothers visit the local drug-alcohol rehab center for a Bible study with the men. They share experiences of their own past struggles with alcohol and drugs, and how Christ has transformed their lives. Bro. Armando has found that serving in this ministry encourages him in his spiritual walk.
"Helping others also motivates me. We share the experiences of our past with others... and the change that has taken place in our life."
Bro. Armando believes that ministry is important for every Christian.
"It is part of the gospel, just as Christ sent out disciples two by two, we do the same. Working together as a team, we can better explain the message and answer their questions."
How you can help Pray for the men to be able to be obedient in the Word when they get out of the center, and not to be merely shallow hearers. Your donations will be used for Bibles and other spiritual materials.
