Bonnie Pfiester
bonnieBiography
Bonnie Pfiester's artistic skill began at an early age. By her teens, Bonnie was known for doing everyone's make-up for every occasion imaginable. Following her love for art and the beauty industry, Bonnie decided to make her passion a career at 18 years of age.

By the age of 22, Bonnie opened a full-service salon in Tallahassee, Florida. Her love for permanent make-up sprouted after personally seeking a practitioner to do her own eyes and coming up empty-handed. Since she had prior experience as a make-up artist for Christian Dior, she decided to get certified and partner with one of the area's leading plastic surgeons.

In addition to her initial certification, by DeJoy's Permanent Make Up Training Center, Bonnie had the privilege to receive advanced training at the Department of Plastic Surgery at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, receiving her second certification by the American Institute of Intradermal Cosmetics.

Bonnie Pfiester became one of the most sought after practitioners in the Southeast, working with the most prestigious physicians in North Florida, Alabama and South Georgia including Plastic Surgeons, Ophthalmologists and Cosmetic Dentists.

Bonnie now works exclusively at VeinTherapies providing permanent eyeliner, eyebrows and lip color. For those who lack the skill, or are unable to apply make-up, Bonnie will be more than happy to consult with each patient in order to accurately meet each patient's expectations. Patients are encouraged to bring their favorite cosmetics and wear make-up in to the office, if possible, so she can see your personal choice of color and style.

When you get permanent make-up with Bonnie Pfiester, rest assured, you can relax knowing you are in the best of care and will be receiving the highest quality of service.

Permanent Makeup Q & A
permanent makeupIs the procedure painful?
Topical and local anesthetics are used to minimize discomfort. Topical creams numb the eye and eyebrow area. Lips require a local anesthetic so there is no feeling in the lip area during the procedure.

Is permanent make-up a tattoo?
Permanent make-up is very similar to a tattoo. The color is implanted in the skin with an automatic machine; however, all equipment and pigments used are specifically made exclusively for cosmetic procedures. Unlike a tattoo machine, permanent make-up equipment is designed to work on delicate skin and pigments are intended to look more natural than the standard primary colors found in a tattoo establishment.

What is the recovery?
There will be slight swelling, redness and occasionally bruising, depending on the individual. Swelling typically only last 1-2 days for the eyebrows, 2-3 days for the eyes and 3-4 days for the lips. The color, initially more intense and bold during the healing process, fades to the desired color in less than a week. The color lasts 3 - 5 years, depending on the desired color and amount applied.

What does permanent make-up look like?
Permanent make-up looks very similar to regular make-up, but a little more natural since a layer of skin softens the implanted color. Lip color would simulate a lip stain and eye/brow make-up would look very similar to make-up pencils. Defined lines can also be achieved as well. If conventional make-up looks natural, then permanent make-up can look natural too. How natural your permanent make-up looks depends on your own style, hair (amount and color) and any modifications desired to the shape or design of your eyes, lips or brows.
